What you see above is the official cover art for Hitman: Absolution. TheMercurialMan isn’t sure whether he likes it or not, it’s very… red?

In the constant downward spiral of GAME, EA have spoken to Eurogamer about how they feel about the situation: “It’s unfortunate that GAME is having challenges with its suppliers, however, consumers have many alternatives both in-store and online. Our first priority is to inform our consumers of the many other retailers carrying our games. We don’t anticipate any delay in getting our titles to market.”
So basically, it sucks to be GAME, but to be a gamer there won’t be any huge detrimental effect of buying titles. Pretty accurate assessment there EA.

The official first trailer for Medal of Honor: Warfighter has been released. Some pretty looking stuff on there, but the title is still ridiculous, have a look here:

The insanely awesome looking Lollipop Chainsaw has a release date now, June 12th in the US and 13th elsewhere. Coming from the guys behind Shadows of the Damned and No More Heroes it should be a lot of fun.

Two bits of Assassin’s Creed news of course, firstly creative designer Alex Hutchinson has gone on record to discuss the new location and future of the series: “We wanted to offer something that’s really fresh. We wanted to get outside the cities. Early on we thought okay, if we’re gonna provide not just a new context and a new hero, but a whole new playground, a whole new area to explore, than what better than the American north east? In the period in which our game is set, the American Revolution, it’s like this half untouched wilderness where weather and winter is terrifying, where tress and forests are still ancient. There are populations who live out in the woods that haven’t seen western civilisation necessarily. We have all these great features to play with and I think that big chunk on its own is going to feel really fresh. I always thought it was funny that the one thing you couldn’t climb in AC was the one thing I have climbed in real life, which is a tree, there’re plenty of games with forests but the forests are just collections of assets, they’re just trees and you walk around them. The fact that it’s a tree doesn’t matter. It could be a lampost, it could be a box, it could be anything. Whereas if we can make trees and the wilderness as much a playground as Altaïr and Ezio made cities, then I think it’s huge. The brand is healthy; there’s a big audience that cares about it, we didn’t want to tear it down. We’re not in one of those franchise situations where you need to reset, hit the reset and go back to the core.”

Equally interesting is the reveal of the features for ACIII, which you can see in the picture below… Co-op?!

The launch trailer for I Am Alive has been released with the game out this week, and to be honest it looks pretty damn good:
